London, UK (CWBN)_ The Covid-19 strain is now beginning to spread globally, including Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Swden and France, since it was discovered in the UK earlier this month, adding to the fears of yet another resurgence of the virus.

Japan has already taken precautionary measures by banning non-residents from entering the country for a period of a month, starting Monday (21st Dec). The decision was taken after five passengers arrived, and two cases were identified locally.

Moreover, several countries in the European Union have initiated vaccination campaigns to counter the spread, while the remaining the countries are expected to coordinate their responses.

Nonetheless, there remains considerable uncertainty as to the severity of the disease, and as to the effectiveness of the vaccines currently available.
