a lively forum for presenting and discussing ground-breaking scientific ideas in nanotechnologies. He spoke about the conference. He said, “It shall be an interface between academia and industries. The scientific event is organized during the worst pandemic, which is our common sorrow and common pain and will mostly focus on infectious and inflammatory diseases”. According to NIT Registrar Prof Kaiser Bukhari, the international conference would provide a forum for the Institute’s young researchers as well as other participants from across the world.

Dr Shah M A, the International Conference’s Convener and HOD Physics, estimated that nearly 300 individuals will participate in the conference in a hybrid manner, with 150 online and 150 offline. In terms of the summit’s significance, the Convener and Co-Founder of NBL Series stated that scientists and engineers are discovering a wide range of techniques to intentionally manufacture nanoscale materials in order to benefit from their useful characteristics. He said, “It includes higher strength, lighter weight, increased control of light spectrum, and greater chemical reactivity than their larger-scale counterparts. NBL- 2021 will be a fabulous fusion of such biological, chemical, physical, natural, agricultural and engineering sciences”.

According to Dr. Shah, the conference is also an outcome of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Ministry of Education under the Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat scheme, under which the two partner states, Jammu and Kashmir and Tamil Nadu, are expected to take science and technology measures to support the students and faculty by hosting such scientific conferences. During Valedictory, Prof J Kumar from Anna University will deliver the specifics of the MoU as well as a plan for the future progress. He added that around 20 keynote prominent speakers will discuss topics regarding healthcare, agriculture, and engineering, as well as the climate change and environment, throughout the five-day conference.

Dr Shah revealed the program list. He said, “In addition, 50 invited talks, 100 oral and 100 for poster presentations are planned as an integral part of the conference. There are other scientific activities that will be covered in the convention”. He added, “Special three memorial lectures for three legendaries whom we lost in the second wave of Covid-19. Prof. Pandaya from IIT Jammu will deliver Memorial Lecture on Padmashri Prof K L Chopra, Prof Sajad from JMI New Delhi will Deliver Memorial Lecture on Prof G M Bhat and Miss Meenakshi will deliver Memorial Lecture on Shahi”.

According to Dr. Shah, the conference would unite around 300 scholars and experts from nearly 20 nations, including 28 from other Indian states. According to him, this scientific meeting will give plenty of opportunities for young students to study about new discoveries in this new and multidisciplinary sector.
