Ottawa on track to spend $200M per year on cannabis for veterans

Federal government of Ottawa is reimbursing veterans for medical marijuana, over $150 million have been handed out last year this is more than double the amount within the last three years. Veterans Affairs Canada states that this is only the beginning as they are on track to spend about $200 million this year as there is an increase in number of veterans asking the government to pay for cannabis expenses.

Experts and advocates are looking for more information regarding the real benefits and potential harms of medical marijuana for veterans as the taxpayers are paying for it and therefore the benefits are bound to be questioned.
