The Pakistan Software Export Board was also present, representing Pakistan’s information technology sector. The show drew buyers from Nigeria and ECOWAS member states in West Africa, most notably Benin, Cabo Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo, and business to business meetings were scheduled for the buyers. Twelve Pakistani businesses from the pharmaceutical, automotive, leather, and sports sectors signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth US$ 250,000 to US$ 9 million, which are likely to conclude with the finalization of multimillion-dollar export orders in the near future.

Business delegations were also brought by Pakistan Trade Missions in Senegal, Sudan, Algeria, and Kenya. The event drew over 4000 businesspeople from Nigeria and the ECOWAS region. Pakistani businesses produced a large number of leads. Additionally, TDAP also arranged them a tour to local marketplaces to have a better understanding of the Nigerian market.

The Pakistani exhibitors lauded the attempts of the Pakistan Trade Development Authority and the Pakistan High Commission in Nigeria for arranging the event, as well as for the support with visas and logistics. In order to gain greater traction, boost Pakistan’s exports, and explore collaborative partnerships with African industries, Pakistani companies stated that such single nation exhibitions should be conducted in Africa for every six months. The event enhanced Pakistan’s export presence in Africa, particularly in West Africa. The show aided Pakistani businesses in establishing a stronger presence and expanding their reach deep into the African market.
