Pakistan’s PM and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince agree to boost bilateral ties

Riyadh (Commonwealth Union)_ Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia have agreed to upgrade and strengthen the bilateral relations and brotherly ties between the two nations to new heights. According to the latest media reports, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting in Riyadh, where they discussed the whole spectrum of bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Shehbaz lauded the meeting as “excellent” on Twitter. “We agreed to upgrade and enhance bilateral ties and fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to new heights in line with the requirements of [the] changing world,” he added. “I told [the crown prince] people of Pakistan are eagerly looking forward to his visit”.

According to media reports, the Pakistani leader praised the Saudi leadership for providing support to the South Asian nation during the recent disastrous floods, notably for building the air bridge between Riyadh and Islamabad to deliver relief supplies to the flood-impacted regions. The Saudi crown prince deemed the brotherly connections between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia crucial for both nations, the region, as well as the whole world. Following the meeting, the Prime Minister and his accompanying leader performed Umrah at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. PM Shehbaz prayed for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan as well as for the welfare of the Muslim ummah.

PM Shehbaz arrived in Riyadh on Monday, where he was greeted at the airport by Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Prime Minister was joined by his high-level delegation including the finance minister Ishaq Dar, the defense minister Khawaja Asif, the information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and other prominent officials. On Monday, he attended the Future Investment Initiative Summit in Riyadh and delivered his speech. He stated that Pakistan is now all set for market innovation and is ready to connect with prospective investors for the benefit of its future generations.
