Patna to soon get superspecialty hospital for children

Amrit revealed about the facilities at the new hospital and the launching time. He said, “All treatment facilities for children will be there at the hospital and we want to make it functional in record time”. This hospital would be Patna’s first government hospital dedicated only to children, and Bihar’s second after a PICU hospital in Muzaffarpur. According to Amrit, the facility, however, will be larger than Muzaffarpur’s PICU hospital, which was also built in a record period.

According to sources, the need for a superspecialty hospital was discussed at a recent top-level meeting of the health department to figure out how to deal with the looming third wave of the Covid epidemic. It was also said that all of the beds in the concerned hospital will be equipped with oxygen.
