NIGERIA (Commonwealth Union) – Nigeria is coming through with the President of the country Muhammadu Buhari making very obvious statements publicly about how the country is ready to be hub for vaccinations.

This comes on the aftermath of past viruses including the Coronavirus pandemic. Africa as a continent has not been doing well historically when it comes to life threatening diseases, war and even things like famine. Looking back, we see things like bird flu, swine flu, small pox and a plethora of other diseases that have ravaged the nations in Africa. Apart from this, there is things like famine and AIDS also making constant visits so the people always have something or the other to worry about.

However, as time has gone by, some African nations have stepped up their game and come forward with solutions, for example better education about sexually transmitted diseases, so that the youth are better aware of what’s happening around them.

The latest carnage was seen in 2020 when the Coronavirus hit the African continent and basically created mayhem. However, Nigeria was not going to let this stop the progress it had made. Whilst there are other developed and super power countries that have already created vaccines for just about everything and are still doing the research, Nigeria has made it clear that as a country they too can provide the service of vaccine production.

Nigeria has been a developing nation in the African continent and its nice to see that they can step forward and take on some of the responsibility of production. This means that the African continent need no longer look for every vaccine form overseas. President Buhari is ready to take on this challenge and show the world that Nigeria has indeed come a long way.
