President Solih launches major development projects in Sh. Feydhoo!

Male, Maldives (CU)_According to the island council, the current government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has launched a number of major development initiatives in Feydhoo Island of Shaviyani atoll. The president recently met and interacted with the Feydhoo island council members and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) members.

The President, Feydhoo council, and WDC members were present during the discussion that was held at the President’s Office. The meeting reviewed island development goals and community demands. During the meeting, Feydhoo councilors thanked the president and his administration for making every effort to fulfill the development promises made to the island people. They also highlighted the successful initiatives and projects of the government that are aimed at the welfare of the people.

According to the councilors, some of the major development initiatives on the island were launched during the tenure of the current administration. They highlighted the major projects undertaken by the government in recent years to develop the island and its atolls. The meeting held at the president’s office covered a range of topics, including tourism growth, space limitations at the council office, policing, coastline erosion, and the need for recreational facilities, such as a handball court.

The president was also informed of the council’s opinions concerning the current harbor development project. As the president listened to these concerns, he expressed optimism that the issues highlighted during the meeting would soon be resolved. As a result, he informed the council and WDC members of Feydhoo Island that the government intends to handle the coastline protection issues and port development challenges. In addition, he expressed gratitude to the island residents for welcoming his development program.
