Today the Singaporean Prime Minister received his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid 19 jab at Singapore general hospital. PM Lee had always been vocal about getting the vaccination as and when it was available of all his social media platforms, as his Facebook quoted, “With that, I have completed the full vaccination regimen.” With a video of him receiving the final cycle of the vaccine.
PM Lee went on to say that the second jab much like the first one was quick and painless and that he was kept under observation for 30 minutes by the doctors to see if there were any changes or if he had any sort of negative reaction to the vaccine.
According to Prime Minister Lee who had his first dose of the vaccine on the 8th of January 2021 Singapore is escalating the Vaccine programme and opening up more inoculation centers. He also said advised that the citizens should take their turn when it comes and go get the vaccine to not only protect themselves but also their families from the virus.
As of Jan 27, the republic’s Ministry of Health said more than 113,000 individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Over 50 individuals have also received their second dose of the vaccine and completed the full vaccination regimen, it said. The first shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Singapore on Dec 21 last year. The republic began its vaccination exercise on Dec 30 with healthcare workers at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) the first to get the vaccine shots.
