Prince William has grown ‘cautious’ of talking to his brother

LONDON (CU)_Following the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Prince Harry and his brother have called a truce, and were seen chatting after Prince Philip’s funeral in April, prompting hopes for reconciliation. However, insiders have now revealed that relations between the two brothers continue to remain strained, with no “personal chats or proper talks” between the pair, and only “a very brief and minimal exchange of text messages”. “The relationship is still very much strained and there’s no sign yet that there will be any sort of coming together any time soon,” a source told The Sun.

According to royal experts, the Duke of Cambridge doesn’t trust his brother and has grown “cautious” of talking to Prince Harry over fears their conversations may end up in the press. “I don’t think William trusts Harry anymore and he is always worried that anything he says will end up in the press in two or three days’ time,” veteran royal correspondent and author Phil Dampier said during an interview on True Royalty TV. “That’s what he is worried about, and he needs to be cautious of what he can actually say to him.”

Meanwhile, another source claimed that the only member of the Royal Family who may resolve the matter is the Queen. “She is the only person who can talk to Harry in a certain way and make him see sense,” Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl said. Therefore, Her Majesty may be expected to discuss a possibility of reconciliation between her two grandsons during Prince Harry’s visit to London next month for unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana, marking her 60th birthday. The Duke will not be accompanied by his wife Meghan Markle, who gave birth to the couple’s second child, Lilibet, earlier this month. Upon his visit to the UK, Prince Harry will be expected to quarantine for 10 days at Frogmore Cottage, the home he moved into with Meghan before the couple stepped down from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.
