Samsung confirms Galaxy S21 release date

New York, USA (CU)_ Samsung made it official that it would be announcing an entire line up new flagship mobile devices, likely including the Galaxy S21, and its modified versions the S21 Plus and the S21 Ultra, on the 14th of this month, at 10am ET.

The line up consists of largely similar phones save for the difference in screen sizes. The S21 would come with a height of 6.2 inches, the S21 Plus would be 0.5 inches taller and Ultra would be 0.6 inches taller. The latter model, which is also the premium version of the three will feature significantly improved device specifications, inclusive of a battery capacity of up to 5,000mAh and a 12mp main and ultrawide camera supported by two telephoto lenses, while the sensor would support up to 108mp.

In terms of refresh rate the all three devices are capable of about 120fps while the Ultra would include an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz.

All three devices would likely feature a curved screen and support for the Samsung S-Pen, the removal of the camera bump featured in older models, and 5G capabilities.

The official specifications and capabilities will be announced on during the event.
