South Africa’s Aspen aiming to ramp up production

DURBAN (CU)_South Africa’s Aspen Pharmacare is currently playing a major role in Africa’s Coronavirus vaccination campaign, delivering 250 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine for the continent’s 1.2 billion population. Under its contract with the American multinational pharmaceutical corporation, Aspen is expected to deliver 31 million COVID shots to South Africa and another 400 million to the rest of the region via an agreement with the African Union.
