The use of technology in education is a strong trend that is taking over classrooms all around the country. Since they have grown up with digital technology, today’s kids want it to be a part of their educational experience. But what part, if any, should it have in education? As demonstrated by flipped classrooms, supporters of educational technology point out that it can encourage students to participate in more active learning. It can make group cooperation easier and give quick access to current resources. To provide information that is suited to various learning styles, teachers and instructors might use interactive case studies, online questionnaires, and pertinent films. Assistive technology is widely used by students with special needs to communicate and access course content. However, there are also drawbacks. One distraction, for instance, is technology. Some students ignore class material and instead spend their time on social media, gaming, or online shopping. One study found that students who multitasked on laptops in the class had exam scores that were 11 percent lower when the lecture was examined. Students seated behind such multitaskers performed 17 percent worse on tests. According to research from the autumn of 2017, University of Michigan professor Susan Dynarski is one of the leading proponents of banning gadgets in the classroom. What’s more alarming is that technology can put students’ privacy and safety in danger. Education technology firms collecting sensitive student data may cause significant issues. In 2017, a gang going by the name of Dark Overlord broke into the systems of various school districts in states, gaining access to the personal data of kids, including counseling reports and health records. The gang threatened kids and their families with physical violence using the data.
