Tiger Woods the world famous golf star has returned to his South Florida home earlier this week to continue his road to recovery as a vehicle accident last month caused his leg some serious injuries. The 45 year old made a statement on social media saying that he is “so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.”

Tiger Woods was in a single vehicle rollover crash on the 23rd February in southern California. The 15 time major champion took a pretty Gruesome  hit when it came to the innjury as he suffered multiple “open fractures” to his lower right leg and had a rod put in his tibia. He also had screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle during the emergency surgery. It was later in that same week that Wood was transferred from Harbor – UCLA medical center to Cedars- Sinai Medical center in Los Angeles. Wood was hospitalized for a total of 3 weeks as a result of this crash.

Woods made a statement where he thanked the staff of both facilities for taking such good care of him, “Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough. I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.”

According to the authorities they are still investigating the cause of Woods’ crash which took place close to the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes. Officials previously said they won’t pursue charges against Woods.
