Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, and Sobhita Dhulipala are among the celebs gracing the red carpet at the big trailer premiere of Ponniyin Selvan 2 held in Chennai for the film’s second installment.
Aishwarya, who portrays Nandini, wore a dazzling traditional pink costume and walked the red carpet. The official Twitter account of Lyca Productions posted the footage of the actress posing in style. The post was captioned as, “The elegant and enchanting beauty of #PS2, #Nandini, has made her presence at the greatest event of the evening!”
Next on the red carpet was Trisha, who portrays Princess Kundavai. The stunning actress walked on the red carpet in a rich blue embroidered saree and wore striking jewelry to complement her ensemble. The official Twitter account of Lyca Productions posted the video of the actress posing from the throne and commented as, “An embodiment of royalty even off-screen @trishakrishnan.”
Actor Jayam Ravi, also known as Arulmozhi Varman (Ponniyin Selvan), appeared wearing an all-black outfit. The video features the actor majestically seated on the throne, as he poses elegantly for the camera. Actress Sobhita Dhulipala, who portrays Vaanathi, Princess of Kodumbalur, looked breathtaking in a pink saree and striking jewelry.
Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, who portrays Poonguzhali, a Samuthirakumari, wore a traditional white attire as she walked the red carpet. In the second chapter of Mani Ratnam’s epic work, Vikram and Karthi are also starring. On this occasion, the trailer and music CD for the period drama were released. Ponniyin Selvan 2, produced by Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran Allirajah under Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, will debut in theaters on April 28.
