New York, USA (CWBN)_ The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, posted on Twitter about 9 hours ago that has been identified as a contact of “someone” who has tested positive for Covid-19.

The 55 year old Ethiopian Minster has hence taken measures to self-isolate as a precaution, although he has not presented any symptoms. It is unclear at this time as to how long Ghebreyesus will be in isolation but would continue to work from home.

Ghebreyesus has been a leading figure in the WHO’s global response to the Covid-19 pandemic although he has faced some critique from some leaders, including US President Donald Trump, over the apparent delay in response and also the inability to gain access to the virus when it first appeared in Wuhan, China.
