Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Ahead of the release of their upcoming film “Ghoomer,” actors Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, and filmmaker R Balki have embarked on a promotional campaign, engaging in a recent interview where they tackled some funny questions. Abhishek emerged as the wit champion with his clever responses, earning the trophy. In a particular instance, he candidly revealed his delight in having selfie photographs taken by his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
During the interview, the trio was asked about their preferred co-star for a selfie. Abhishek’s immediate and humorous retort was, “My wife!” He went on to praise Aishwarya’s selfie-taking prowess, noting that she excels in capturing one’s best angles, ensuring that “You know she will make you look good.” The friendship between Balki, Abhishek, and Saiyami was evident as they shared stories from their time on set, revealing amusing insights. Both Balki and Abhishek playfully failed to recall Saiyami’s birth date, with Abhishek humorously admitting that her birthday is saved as a reminder on his phone. Saiyami even playfully misstated her own birthdate initially.

“Ghoomer” narrates the tale of a female cricketer who overcomes adversity after losing her right arm in an accident. The story revolves around her triumphant return to the game, bowling with her left hand. Abhishek portrays a coach guiding Saiyami’s character through her second career inning. The film also features a cameo by Amitabh Bachchan and stars Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi in major roles. The movie is scheduled for release on August 18.
