OTTAWA, only weeks after a shuffle within the cabinet, prime minister Justin Trudeau surprised the nation with an announcement that he and his wife Sophie were separating, emphasizing the intent and focus of the Canadian Prime minister to spearhead his Liberal party to a fourth election, despite wilting opinion polls, insiders and pollsters inform.

On Wednesday, following 18 years of marriage, Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire informed that they were splitting up, and said to be one of the biggest personal crises faced by the prime minister, although he wants to ride out the shock, commentators and insiders commented.

A burst of social media posts by the reacted Canadians were witnessed in the wake of the separation announced by the pair on social media, indicated by Trudeau that for many difficult and meaningful discussions, the decision to separate was unavoidable, posted on social media.

Prime minister’s office released an official statement that Trudeau and Gregoire have signed a lawful separation agreement, and worked to guarantee that all ethnical and legal steps with respect to their announcement have been attended to, and continue to move forward.

The formal announcement of the separation made headlines around the globe and reaped a buzz on social media. Some posts offering words of support to the family, as parting is a hard process for anyone. Others highlighted that any relationship would be hindered with all the adversity that the prime minister had endured throughout his time in office.

One social media user pointed out the irresistible amount of conspiracy – based hate tweets Trudeau’s announcement received,  informing that the accusations and hate towards the Canadian prime minister during challenging times is just pitiful.

Peoples party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier, following the announcement, posted a tweet pointing out that the separation is not important, and what matters is that Trudeau leaves the prime minister’s office.
