$100k grants for ailing software businesses

-

In a bid to support small businesses in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), The Access Group, a UK-headquartered business software provider, has announced a groundbreaking initiative offering $100,000 in small business software grants. The company is set to provide grants of up to $10,000 to ten selected businesses, aiming to assist them in identifying and resolving issues within their software stack.

Amid the challenges presented by technology-driven changes and the escalating costs of business operations, The Access Group has taken a proactive stance. With over 30 years of global experience and a track record of serving more than 60,000 customers, the company is committed to leveraging its scale and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the A/NZ business landscape.

Kerry Agiasotis, President of The Access Group Asia Pacific, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting businesses facing adversity. He stated, “Businesses are having a challenging time keeping up with technology-driven change and increasing costs of doing business, so as a global software provider with more than 30 years’ experience providing solutions to more than 60,000 customers, we’re putting our money where our mouth is.”

The initiative goes beyond traditional promotional efforts, transcending Black Friday discounts, and instead focuses on delivering genuine and enduring value. The Access Group aims to positively impact the survival rates of small businesses, which are integral to the economic fabric of the region.

Agiasotis expressed the company’s proactive approach, stating, “Whether you’re experiencing cash flow pain, slow or no growth, out-of-control costs, or you can’t quite put your finger on it, we want to help you diagnose the problem and set you on the path to recovery.”

As part of the grant program, The Access Group will provide free software health checks for businesses applying for the grants. This diagnostic service is designed to uncover software-related challenges that may be hindering a company’s growth or efficiency. By addressing these issues, the initiative aims to empower businesses to overcome obstacles and thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The Access Group’s increased focus on the A/NZ and Asia Pacific markets follows its strategic acquisitions, including the businesses of Sage Group in Australia and Asia in 2021. Subsequently, the company expanded its portfolio by acquiring Reckon Accountants Group and Queensland-based business Fathom.

This initiative aligns with The Access Group’s broader mission to support businesses through comprehensive software solutions and expert guidance. The company’s dedication to giving back to the business community underscores its understanding of the pivotal role small enterprises play in sustaining the economic health of the region. Small businesses in Australia and New Zealand are encouraged to seize this opportunity for a software health check and a chance to receive financial support through The Access Group’s $100,000 software grants. As the business landscape continues to evolve, The Access Group remains steadfast in its commitment to providing practical assistance and contributing to the resilience and growth of businesses in the A/NZ region.
