USA (Commonwealth Union)_ Shah Rukh Khan has added another rare milestone to his long career, this time far beyond cinema. Accordingly, a new commercial tower in Dubai will carry his name, making him the first Bollywood actor to be honored with a building in the city’s skyline. The project, called Shahrukhz, has been launched by Danube Properties, one of Dubai’s leading real estate developers. The unveiling took place in Mumbai, where the company introduced the tower to Indian investors in the presence of Khan, turning the launch into a high-profile international event.

For Khan, the moment was an emotional one. Speaking at the announcement, he described the recognition as deeply personal and said it reminded him of his family, especially his late mother. He shared that one day he hopes to show the building to his children and proudly tell them that it carries their father’s name. Khan later reflected on the honor through a social media post, saying Dubai has always held a special place in his life. He described the city as a symbol of ambition and opportunity and said being associated with a landmark there felt both humbling and meaningful. He also praised Danube Properties for reflecting the same values of growth and aspiration that have shaped his own journey.

Shahrukhz by Danube is designed as a large-scale commercial development rather than a symbolic tribute alone. The 55-storey tower is expected to have a gross sale value of around Rs 4,000 crore. Built on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai’s most important business artery, the project will be part of the E11 highway that links several major emirates. The tower will cover more than one million square feet of built-up area and is planned as a Grade-A commercial space. Reports suggest it will feature over 40 premium amenities aimed at global businesses.

Prices are expected to start at around USD 460,000, placing it firmly in the luxury corporate segment. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2029. Interest in the project has been immediate and overwhelming. According to Danube Group founder Rizwan Sajan, all units were sold within a single day of launch, with total bookings reaching AED 2.1 billion. The announcement was made at a grand event in Dubai attended by nearly 7,000 guests, including industry leaders. The developer has also hinted that a second project, tentatively titled Shahrukhz 2.0, is already being planned. Construction will begin soon, pending final approvals.
