Indian PM Narendra Modi confident about manufacturing the world’s cheapest safe COVID-19 vaccine in India

NEW DELHI, India (CWBN)_  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated today that India’s COVID-19 vaccination programme will commence soon. He also indicated that a more cost-effective vaccine would be manufactured in India.

“The world is keeping a watch on the cheapest and safe vaccine,” he said, adding that they are looking to India for a solution. He stated that experts feel that the vaccine will be ready soon and that the government is waiting for the scientists to confirm that the vaccine is ready. India’s manufacturing capabilities were also highlighted.

The PM added that eight vaccines are in the process of being developed in India, which includes three vaccines which are at different stages of clinical trials. He also made assurances that the logistics of vaccine distribution and storage will be taken care of.
