New York, USA (CWBN)_ Warner Bros. announced last week, on Thursday, that it would be releasing movies due next year to cinemas and HBO Max simultaneously. The arrangement is expected to hold for a one year period.

This would also include “Wonder Woman 1984”, which was supposed to be released months ago. The movie will be released on Christmas.

With the majority of cinemas around the world facing off the Covid-19 pandemic, Warner Bros. appears to be capitalizing on the fact that people would prefer to consume the content from the safety of their homes.

While Warner Bros. and HBO Max are subsidiaries of AT & T Inc., a multinational conglomerate based in Texas, are expected to profit from the decision, AMC took a hit of 16%.
