Chennai, India (CWBN)_ A Tamil Nadu girl has made world record by cooking 46 dishes in 58 minutes and joined the UNICO Book of World Records. The event took place on Tuesday in Chennai. SN Lakshmi Sai Sri, who set the world record, said that she had keen interest in cooking and that her mother had taught her. The young chef told the media, “I have learned cooking from my mother. I am very happy that I have achieved this milestone”.

Lakshmi’s mother, N Kalaimagal, shared her daughter’s cooking experiences. She said Lakshmi started her cooking sessions during the lockdown period and her father encouraged her interest for cooking and supported her attempts. She further added that Lakshmi’s father suggested that she should try for a world record in cooking as she was performing very well.

Lakshmi’s mother, who is also a good cook, said, “I cook different traditional cuisine of Tamil Nadu. During the lockdown, my daughter used to spend her time with me in the kitchen. When I was discussing her interest in cooking with my husband, he suggested that she should make an attempt on world record on culinary activity. That’s how we got the idea”.

Lakshmi’s dad researched and discovered that about 30 dishes were cooked by a 10-year-old girl Saanvi from Kerala, which was the recent record. Therefore, he wanted his daughter to break the record of Saanvi and he encouraged her to do proceed with it. She said, “Thus, he wanted his daughter to break Saanvi’s record”.
