Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood actress Vidya Balan’s social media posts are inspiring her followers in every way, and the most recent one is no exception. Vidya Balan, who is 42-year-old, picked the best collection of words and made her point crystal clear on the 2021 World Health Day. The actress had earlier spoken openly about her experience with body shame and had addressed a variety of issues such as women’s beauty expectations, body positivity, and more.

She took to Instagram and wrote: “People always turn around and tell me that your weight is equivalent to your health but your weight should be a part of your health and not its identity – Happy World Health Day.” Her note highlights the fact that maintenance of weight should be a part of our health and not part of maintaining beauty.

The actress follows a unique way of reacting to the trolls. Before you say that the actress just dresses in Indian outfits, you must watch her videos. In the caption, she wrote: “When people tell me I only wear Indian… Snap!” In a recent media interview, the actress openly spoke about her body weight and the issues she faced regarding it. She said, “For the longest time, I hated my body. My weight issue had become a national issue. I have always been a fat girl; I wouldn’t say that I am at a stage where my fluctuating weight doesn’t bother me anymore at all. But I have come a long way.”

Vidya Balan won the 2011 National Award for the best actress for her role in the film The Dirty Picture. The actress is well known for her roles in films such as, Kahaani, Guru, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Mission Mangal, and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Her Bollywood debut was the critically acclaimed film Parineeta. She was most recently seen in the biopic Shakuntala Devi.
