The actress had earlier spoken openly about her experience with body shame and had addressed a variety of issues such as women’s beauty expectations, body positivity, and more.
She took to Instagram and wrote: “People always turn around and tell me that your weight is equivalent to your health but your weight should be a part of your health and not its identity – Happy World Health Day.” Her note highlights the fact that maintenance of weight should be a part of our health and not part of maintaining beauty.

In the caption, she wrote: “When people tell me I only wear Indian… Snap!” In a recent media interview, the actress openly spoke about her body weight and the issues she faced regarding it. She said, “For the longest time, I hated my body. My weight issue had become a national issue. I have always been a fat girl; I wouldn’t say that I am at a stage where my fluctuating weight doesn’t bother me anymore at all. But I have come a long way.”
