There are many pros and cons to doing crunches. So, it is very important to know about them before you go for this exercise. Crunches can be helpful for you if you have made up your mind to have six-packs, as it works on abs. This exercise doesn’t require any kind of equipment so we can perform it at home. This exercise is very beginner-friendly, so a person who has just started doing exercise can do it. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages to this exercise too. As this puts a lot of strain on your neck and back, it can be dangerous to people of older age. This can also lead to awful neck and back injuries.

You can do crunches at home very easily if you know how to do them properly. What you need for this is an exercise or a yoga mat. Spread your mat on the ground and lie down on the mat on your back. Plant your feet in the bridge position and widen your hips. After that, place your hands on your shoulder in such a manner that makes a cross on your chest. Relax your neck and back. Inhale and lift your shoulders and upper back upward. Exhale and again go back to the previous position. e to the stretching of muscles, you can get cramps so be careful.
