Commonwealth announces $2.3 billion investment for a much needed wellbeing

Canberra, Australia (CU)_ The Australian-based mental health and wellbeing support organization Beyond Blue, which provides support programs to address issues related to suicide, depression, anxiety and other related mental disorders, applauded the Commonwealth’s initiative. This investment is a critical first step towards the change that the community so urgently needs, and it contains crucial programs focusing on suicide prevention and early intervention, as well as aftercare assistance for individuals who have attempted suicide, and mental health of children. The Commonwealth announced a $2.3 billion investment in mental wellbeing and suicide prevention programs in its Federal Budget for 2021.
