NEW DELHI (CU)_Adani Green Energy (AGEL) announced on Wednesday (2 June) that another one of its wind power project will commence nine months ahead of schedule. According to the company, its subsidiary, Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Ltd (AWEKTL), has been commission with the 150MW wind power project, which will bring AGEL one step closer to its vision of a 25GW total operational renewable capacity by 2050.

It is reported that the renewable energy company has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), at a value of ₹2.82 per kilowatt-hour for the project, which will be launched in the Kutchh district of Gujarat, in Western India. In terms of AGEL’s operational wind generation capacity, the commissioning of the new plant is expected to generate a capacity of 647 MW.

AGEL has a total renewable capacity of 24,294MW, which includes assets under acquisition. Of this capacity, the company has added a total of 2,375MW during the COVID-19 outbreak, including 1,750MW of operational assets under acquisition.
