The bold actress who kicked out cancer!

Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre recalled her days when she was battling cancer. The actress revealed what helped her stay brave during her cancer struggle. In July 2018, the 46-year-old actress was detected with metastatic cancer. Sonali Bendre wrote a moving note on Cancer Survivors Day, which falls on the first Sunday of June. She wrote, “How time flies… today when I look back, I see strength, I see weakness but most importantly I see the will to not let the C word define how my life will be after it”. SonalI Bendre traveled to New York for treatment after being diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Following her successful treatment, she came back to Mumbai in December 2018.

On sharing collage pictures of her pre- and post-cancer treatment and chemotherapy, she wrote, “You create the life you choose. The journey is what you make of it… so remember to take one day at a time and to switch on the sunshine”. Sonali Bendre advised and gave hope to cancer patients on this year’s World Cancer Day. She wrote, “Your journey is going to be hard but try to fight it with hope and remember to switch on the sunshine and take one day at a time.”

Sonali Bendre took to Instagram and posted a touching note last year about her battle with cancer. She highlighted that confidence and hope are the key weapons to fight back the deadly disease. Her open letter said, “Change is the only constant in life and how life has changed. It’s been almost two years. These two years have taught me many lessons. Gave me the patience to look for the light at the end of the tunnel”.

On the work front, Sonali Bendre’s most recent appearance was on the TV programme India’s Best Dramebaazas, where she was one of the judges. She’s a self-proclaimed bookworm who owns a digital book club. Sonali Bendre is well known for her roles in films such as Hum Saath Saath Hai, Sarfarosh, and Diljale.
