LONDON (CU)_The Labour party of the United Kingdom has long pledged to replace Universal Credit, the country’s social security payment system, which it described as an “inhuman and cruel system”. During the election campaign leading up to the 2019 General election, the party promised to scrap the scheme as part of a £3bn overhaul of social security.
