Australian researchers use nanotechnology to detect cancer cells

Sydney, Australia (CU)_ Australian researchers at La Trobe University in Melbourne have devised a novel and more successful method for identifying some forms of cancer in its early stages. The research, which was published in The Nature on Thursday, demonstrated how the use of a novel microscope slide known as NanoMslide can differentiate cancer cells from other sick cells. This technology can make cancer cells and other sick cells stand out in dramatic color contrast.
