First female Indian American judge initiates her second mission!

Texas, USA (CU)_ Rena Marie Van Tine, an Indian American, has declared her candidacy for Cook County Circuit Court Judge in Illinois for the next election. Van Tine made history in 2001 by becoming the first female Indian American judge to serve on a state court in the United States. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court promoted her to a post on a circuit court of appeals. According to Van Tine, what distinguishes her from the other contenders is the breadth and depth of her expertise.
