Air New Zealand Dreamliners to be grounded again?

have been impacted by a global issue affecting the Boeing 787-9 aircrafts. Between 2017 and 2020, the flag carrier airline was forced to send away its jetliners to be serviced following problems with the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines fitted to them. At the time, as many as five 787-9s were grounded at any given time, which meant that Air New Zealand had to operate lease aircraft to minimise the impact on customers.
