Follow these skin care practices before, during and after your workout session

An extra benefit of a good workout is the skin glow that results from sweating. It is lovely to have radiant skin.

However, if you neglect your skin following a workout, sweat and dirt can cause breakouts. As a result, you have to maintain skincare routines that assist in preventing acne, increasing hydration, and decreasing inflammation and damage. Dermatologist Dr Jaishree Sharad took to Instagram and gave a few useful ideas for a healthy skin care regimen before, during, and after a workout.

Follow these practices before exercise:

  • Face Wash should be used to cleanse your face.
  • Moisturize and protect your skin with sunscreen.
  • Avoid using makeup to avoid blocking your pores.

Follow these practices throughout the workout:

  • Sweat should be wiped off using a clean, soft napkin.
  • Spray your face with thermal water mist to moisturize your skin and remove sweaty salts.
  • Avoid touching your face. It is possible that your hands are filthy.

Follow these practices after your workout:

  • Take a good shower soon after your exercise.
  • Change your perspiring garments.
  • Apply moisturizer to your skin, with specific attention to your elbows, knees, and ankles.
  • Avoid wearing the same sweaty clothing the following day.
  • Try washing your garments and socks in hot water.

Dr Jaishree Sharad had earlier shared some workout-related skincare recommendations. She counseled her fans a few months ago on skincare practices and advised on how to avoid pimples and acne. During that time, she teamed with fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala and demonstrated a few easy pre- and post-exercise instructions via an Instagram video series.

Going the extra mile, whether in the gym or with your skin, can assist you in rewinding time. While you are working so hard to have a toned figure, do not neglect your skin. Adhere to these techniques before, after, and during your exercises to maintain a healthy skin.
