Abuja, Nigeria (CU)_ Healthtech firm Wellahealth Technologies Limited and diagnostic firm MDaaS Global, both of which are funded by Techstars, have collaborated to deliver affordable diagnosis and treatment services to healthcare customers and insurers in Nigeria. Through its network of pharmacies, Wellahealth provides economical coverage for common healthcare conditions including malaria, typhoid, and viral illnesses, while MDaaS Global develops and operates modern, technology-enabled diagnostic centers in clinically underserved communities.
This collaboration allows the general public and health insurers to access an integrated, quality-assured service that delivers speedy and efficient lab testing and drug delivery across more than 2,000 locations in every state in Nigeria. Given many Nigerians’ limited access to quality healthcare, the two groups at Wellahealth and MDaaS Global claim that the collaboration will strengthen the initiative for economical health plans for middle- and low-income earners, as well as deliver health insurers with affordable diagnostics for their customers across the country.
Dr Ikpeme Neto, the CEO of Wellahealth Technologies, expressed optimism over the collaboration.
