Chennai, India (CU)_ Actress Meena’s husband Vidyasagarpassed away in a private hospital in Chennai. According to the media, Vidyasagar has been receiving treatment for a serious lung infection for the past couple of months. Several celebrities and Meena’s industry pals, including Khushbu Sundar, Lakshmi Manchu, Rajinikanth, and Sarath Kumar, expressed their sympathies and conveyed their condolences to the actress and her family. Following a successful career in the 1990s, Meena and businessman Vidyasagar tied the knot in 2009 in Bengaluru.
Actress Khushbu Sundar tweeted the following, expressing her sincere sympathies to the family. She wrote, “Waking up to a terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena’s husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling lung ailment for long. Heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family”. She added the hashtag #RIP.
Actress Lakshmi Manchu expressed her grief saying, “Woke up to devastating news of #meena garu’s husband, Vidyasagar garu passed away due to Covid complications. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the entire family.”
R. Sarathkumar, actor-turned-politician, posted a happy family photo of Meena, featuring the actress, her husband, and their daughter Nainika. He expressed condolences to Meena, saying, “It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena’s husband Vidyasagar, our family’s heartfelt condolences to Meena and the near and dear of her family, may his soul rest in peace.”
Meena started her career as a child performer and rose to prominence in South Indian film throughout the 1990s. Her most recent appearance was in the film Son of India. She previously appeared in Drishyam 1 and Drishyam 2. Meena’s daughter Nainika also played her debut role in the film Theri, portraying Vijay’s daughter.
