Apollo to contribute heart transplant equipment to TTD

Chennai, India (CU)_ According to the latest statement from Dr. C. Prathap Reddy, founder and chairman of Apollo Hospitals, his hospital group will contribute all necessary equipment for heart transplant surgery to the TTD-run Sri Padmavati Hrudayalaya, a children’s heart care facility. The CEO of Apollo Hospitals, who accompanied his family on a visit to the TTD Hrudayalaya, was quite pleased with the institution’s accomplishments, which included the completion of 600 heart operations for children from low-income families who could not afford the costly surgery.

During his tour of the general ward, catheterization lab, intensive care unit, and other wings, he spoke with physicians and medical personnel about the services given to children with heart disease. According to AV Dharma Reddy, TTD Executive Officer, who accompanied Prathap Reddy, since its establishment, the SP Hrudayalaya has performed more than 600 heart operations on patients from Bangladesh as well as other states in the nation.

Dr. Prathap Reddy, who spoke at the event, praised Hrudayalaya’s cleanliness, infection-free measures, medical services, operations, physicians and their confidence, patient-attendant care, etc., and the facility had been delivering services that were in line with those of corporate hospitals. He appreciated the physicians’ team for successfully completing 600 operations, which gave newborns a second chance at life, and he pledged Apollo’s assistance to the TTD hospital to provide additional services to the impoverished children.

The director of SP Hrudayalaya detailed to Dr. Prathap Reddy about the management of the cath lab, the system of operations, etc., and the hospital’s efforts to provide the finest patient care. It should be noted that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy opened the hospital during Srivari Brahmotsavams in October 2021, and that the TTD has already begun work on a new building for the hospital, which is now operating at the BIRRD Hospital.
