MUMBAI, India (Commonwealth Union)_ Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 this year. The senior actor has made a name for himself in his profession and in the hearts of everyone with his impressive performances on the silver screen. As the legendary actor celebrated his 80th birthday, he met his fans gathered outside his house, Jalsa, at midnight on his birthday.
The actor was joined by his daughter, Shweta Nanda. Big B also thanked his supporters on his blog for always being by his side. While his admirers are rushing to social media platforms with birthday messages for the superstar on his special day, several industry stars and other top celebrities are also sending birthday messages to the iconic star along with flashback photos of themselves.
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, took to Twitter to wish Amitabh Bachchan a happy birthday. He tweeted: “A very happy 80th birthday to Amitabh Bachchan Ji. He is one of India’s most remarkable film personalities who has enthralled and entertained audiences across generations. May he lead a long and healthy life. @SrBachchan”.
Actor Akshay Kumar posted a picture of himself with Amitabh Bachchan and conveyed his birthday greetings. “Sending my best wishes to the man who’s the one single reason behind an entire generation wanting to be a hero in films. My inspiration, Bachchan Saab ! Wish you a very happy 80th birthday @SrBachchan sir,” he wrote.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan sent an adorable birthday greeting to Amitabh Bachchan. He wrote, “Love you, sir.” Shah Rukh Khan also uploaded a video of himself and Amitabh Bachchan singing the song “Ek dusre se karte hai pyar hum.” SRK wrote a special message to wish the superstar.
