California, USA (Commonwealth Union)_ Indian American Amrapali ‘Ami’ Gan, the chief executive officer of the content-sharing website OnlyFans, is one of the honorees of this year’s “Time 100 Next”, which recognizes 100 rising talents from diverse areas throughout the world. Alongside her was Ali Sethi, a Pakistani singer, musician, composer, and novelist renowned for his song Pasoori. The list also includes British-Pakistani actress Nida Manzoor and Indian tycoon Akash Ambani, chairman of telecom giant Jio.

In December of last year, Ami Gan was hired to turn the London-based media company into a billion-dollar enterprise that porn stars, musicians, and fitness fanatics use to exchange content with their fans. According to Gan’s biography in Time, in 2021, OnlyFans encountered rough waters when it announced and then retracted a proposal to prohibit the sexually explicit content for which the subscription-based social platform was becoming increasingly notorious. When Amrapali Gan became CEO that winter, she made a good decision.

Gan, a native of Mumbai, entered the fast-developing subscription content startup OnlyFans in 2020 as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
