India (Commonwealth Union)_BJP lawmakers stated in Rajya Sabha that the NDA administration, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has worked for the growth of women, the poor, and backward communities, while also improving the nation’s leadership position in numerous global challenges. K Laxman, who moved the motion of thanks for the president’s address, noted that it was a momentous occasion to see a woman from a tribal group addressing the joint session of Parliament as the country’s president.

In addition, he noted that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s debut presentation of the Union Budget in the “Amrit Kaal” is also a proud moment. According to Laxman, this demonstrates the significance that Prime Minister Modi places on women as a leader with a vision. Former Union minister Prakash Javadekar stated that the nation waited seventy-five years for a tribal to attain the presidency. According to Laxman, the President emphasized the importance of the Amrit Kaal throughout her speech, and remarked that India will become self-sufficient and free of poverty, and the youth and women will play vital roles in the country’s growth.

Laxman also stated that India’s global status has substantially improved under the present administration. He noted that once India was seeking help from the outside world, but now the world is seeking assistance from India, for instance, the fight against COVID-19, combating terrorism, or promoting world peace. He said, “As far as foreign affairs are concerned, India is now showing the world the solutions to its problems, especially through its presidency of the G20 and the role it played in the Ukraine war and being the pharmacy of the world”.

According to Javadekar, in the past seven years, India has developed to a great extent and emerged as the fifth largest economy, up from the tenth place, with the most pleasing fact being that the nation leapfrogged Britain, which governed India for two centuries. Currently, worldwide inflation runs from 10 to 40%, whereas in India it is below 6%. Further, India is one of the most rapidly developing countries in the world. Javadekar stated that almost all countries lauded India’s handling of Covid-19, and that India, which was formerly at the margin, now leads the world in several industries.
