Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Natasha Poonawalla, renowned businesswoman and philanthropist, was among the esteemed guests at King Charles III’s coronation concert in England. Known for her impeccable fashion sense, she shared pictures from the event held the day after the monarch’s coronation. For the occasion, she adorned herself in a stunning blush nude saree and an embellished bodysuit.
Poonawalla shared glimpses of herself ahead of the concert and expressed her thoughts in a note, thanking the King and Queen for the spectacular evening and the fun concert. She also expressed her happiness at seeing Katy Perry perform and speak about the work of the British Asian Trust in Child trafficking. Poonawalla’s attire mixed and matched Burberry by Riccardo Tisci and a saree, representing British Asian culture. She also tagged the location as Windsor Castle.
Poonawalla wrote, “Coronation festivities…Loved meeting the King and Queen at the gorgeous Windsor palace… Thank you for a spectacular evening, the stunning [sunset] behind the palace and fun concert! Happiest to see Katy Perry perform and speak of the work of the British Asian Trust in Child trafficking. Mixed and matched Burberry by Riccardo Tisci and a saree… British Asian.” Actress Sonali Bendre responded to the post with a heart-eye emoji, while Deanne Panday commented, “Stunning” and added fire and heart emojis.
On the day of the coronation, Poonawalla also shared some throwback pictures with King Charles III. The series of images were from the occasion at the British Asian Trust royal reception in London in February 2020, as well as an image taken during King Charles III’s 71st birthday celebrations in Mumbai in 2019, which also saw the attendance of singer Katy Perry. Sharing the memorable images, Poonawalla conveyed her wishes to King Charles III on his coronation, saying “Congratulations King Charles the third! #coronation.”
In the meantime, Poonawalla’s schedule has been packed with events recently, as she also attended the Met Gala before the coronation festivities. Her fashion choices at the celebrated event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York impressed many.
