India (Common Wealth) _ Mercedes-Benz is increasing its campaign to introduce top-end automobiles priced above Rs 1 crore to India, with demand from non-metros developing at a rapid pace.

 The company will bring another model in the top-end vehicles (TEVs) segment, which accounts for 25% of its total sales in India, after launching the premium new AMG SL55 MATIC+ roadster model on Thursday with prices starting at Rs 2.35 crore (all India ex-showroom).

Mercedes-Benz India sold 4,697 cars in the first quarter of 2023, a 17% increase over the previous year. The company, which had a cumulative sales record of 15,822 units in 2022, the company had sold over 3,500 TEVs, a 69 percent increase.
