Singapore Airlines Regional Manager Public Affairs & Government Relations Karl Schubert has left the Singapore Airlines after nearly 8 years.

In a statement issued by Mr. Schubert, he thanked the airline for the opportunities he had been afforded and wished the company every success in the future.

“I have enjoyed close to eight amazing years working for the best airline in the world, but the time has come to explore a new opportunity,” Mr. Schubert said.

He went on to state that since starting at SIA in 2015, he had been privileged to have worked with some amazing journalists, content creators and outlets and was sincerely grateful for the support that had been shown to him and Singapore Airlines over the years.

The Company has begun the search for a replacement.

Following Mr. Schubert’s departure from Singapore Airlines, Senior Public Affairs Executive, Mrs Erin Fletcher, will assume the role of main contact for all media enquiries in the south-west Pacific (SWP) for the airline, until a replacement for Mr Karl Schubert is confirmed.

It is understood that Schubert will be moving to Beijing Jingeng Energy International (Australia) as Head of Corporate Affairs & Investor Relations.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) issued a statement advising media in Australia and New Zealand that Regional Manager Public Affairs & Government Relations, Mr Karl Schubert, had decided to depart the Company to explore new opportunities.

Mrs Fletcher will continue to be supported by Liquid Ideas in Australia and Acumen in New Zealand.

The airline has flown continuously to New Zealand for 46 years and was looking to increase its operations there.

Singapore Airlines Regional Manager Public Affairs & Government Relations, ANZ, Karl Schubert, departs the airline to explore other opportunities, with recruitment now underway.
