Singapore (Commonwealth Union)_ Vietnam Airlines plan to relocate operations to Changi airport’s Terminal 3. Vietnam Airlines will be trading its longstanding Terminal 4 slot in favor of a move to Terminal 3 from 26th September,

Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, announced that commencing from 26th September, 2023, all flights operated by Vietnam Airlines between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore will be relocating from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 at Changi International Airport. For codeshare flights operated by Pacific Airlines, the airline will continue to operate from Terminal 4. Vietnam Airlines advised its passengers to proactively adjust travel times and plan accordingly.

The Changi airport has a total of four separate terminals, of which Terminal T3 serves flights between Singapore and Asia, Australia, Europe, and the USA.

Vietnam Airlines will promote the application of automated solutions on this occasion, to help passengers check in more conveniently and quickly and increase their experiences at this terminal, such as visiting the world’s tallest indoor waterfall Rain Vortex or the Butterfly garden.  Standing 40 meters tall with water cascading down from the dome-shaped roof of Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel), the HSBC Rain Vortex is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.  The world’s first butterfly garden in an airport has been designed as a tropical butterfly habitat with a profusion of flowering plants, lush greenery and a 6m grotto waterfall where one could encounter over 1,000 tropical butterflies from as many as 40 species during the different seasons of the year.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore is a key market for Vietnam Airlines. In the past 30 years, over 7 million passengers have used the national airline’s services to travel between the two countries. The airline is presently operating 35 flights per week between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.

More than 310,000 passengers travelled between the two countries on board Vietnam Airlines flights in the first eight months of this year, which was a more than two-fold increase compared to that of the same period last year.
