Japan has recently launched its new e-Visa system for Indian tourists as of April 1st. This visa permits travelers to stay in Japan for up to 90 days with a single entry. According to the VisaGuide World report, it is specifically designed for those coming to Japan by air and holding an ordinary passport. For anyone planning a short trip to Japan, getting a visa has become much easier because of the introduction of electronic visas (e-Visas) through Japan’s new e-Visa system.

As the authorities of Japan say, this system is now open to nationals from various countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United States, and India. The eligibility also extends to Indian citizens and foreign citizens staying in India. Travelers need to follow a few steps to apply for their visa to visit Japan. First, you need to log in to the official website and fill out the application form. Travelers must select the Temporary Visitor Visa option at the same time so that all the necessities are met. In addition, it will be very important to have photocopies of the necessary documents for your short-term tourism visa.

The second step that every visitor should follow when visiting Japan is to book an appointment. So, after completing the application form, they should make an appointment at the Visa Application Center to submit their application. After booking, a confirmation email will be sent with meeting details.

After submitting their visa application, visitors must wait for the decision. This involves attending an appointment and submitting the completed visa application form. Upon approval, they will receive an email notification informing them that their decision is ready for collection at the Visa Application Centre. Moreover, the application status can also be tracked online using the provided reference number.

As for step four, visitors from India need to show the issuance notice at the airport. If the application is successful, an electronic visa will be issued instead of a traditional visa sticker on the passport. Upon arrival at the airport, travelers should present the visa issuance notice on their phone during check-in. which will include a two-dimensional barcode provided by the travel agency. To view the electronic visa issuance notice, travelers should also scan the barcode using their device, input the necessary details, and tap Display. The notice will show a countdown timer indicating its validity.
