By the Indian Railways, the Uday Express series trial run heralds the debut of the first double-decker AC chair car. The trial run will cover the Pollachi-Coimbatore stretch, because of the shortage of trains and wanting to address the lack of trains on the electrified and efficient Pollachi route. This initiative wants to improve connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling along this route.
