as follows: “I am throwing this bottle into the sea in the middle of the Atlantic. We are due to arrive in New York in a few days. If anyone finds her, tell the Lefebvre family in Lievin.”

The letter in the bottle was found in New Brunswick in 2017. However, it was only recently made public online. For further inquiry into its past, it was submitted to the Universite du Quebec a Rimouski. It is still uncertain if the note is genuinely from the time the ship sank or a recent hoax. The experts are hoping to get some leads from people who specialize in Titanic research or even relatives of passengers of the ship.

According to the media, archaeologist Nicolas Beaudry explained about the bottle. He said, “The mould and tool marks on the bottle and the chemical composition of the glass are consistent with the technologies used in making this kind of bottle in the early 20th century”. The RMS Titanic was a British passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after striking an iceberg during her first journey from Southampton to New York City, killing approximately 1500 passengers.
