A loo with a view!

To say that it takes very little to excite a young travel blogger is not that farfetched of a statement. But before on heads into this we have to see what a young travel blogger ideally is. There is a new age of influencers coming out and their jobs are pretty cool. Now an influencer ideally is someone that has a large following on all social media platforms but in this recent past its Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. Now what they do is they promote a certain lifestyle on their pages and people who follow them on these social media pages tend to also want to try these places out.

A travel blogger too is more or less an influencer but is only catering to the traveling sector in terms of advertising and influencing. One particular travel blogger claims to have found Melbourne’s best toilet. Now what they are saying here is that this toilet supposedly has the best views. Since these things matter when you are to book a hotel this influencer has gone the distance and put their stamp of approval on this toilets view.

The bathroom in question can be found on the 35th floor of the five-star Sofitel Hotel, which has played host to celebrities and international athletes since opening its doors in 1980. A video uploaded to TikTok by travel blogger ‘JHefffy‘ showcases the mirrored and marbled facilities which are fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame sweeping views of the city and surrounding landscape. The clip has racked up more than 18,100 ‘likes’ since it was uploaded online on June 27, but comments on the post have been switched off.

The view is so impressive that tennis greats Venus and Serena Williams snapped a selfie in the ladies’ toilet during the Australian Open in 2015. On a clear day, the panorama extends all the way to the Dandenong Ranges on the eastern horizon and south across the bay to the Mornington and Bellarine peninsulas. Unlike iconic viewpoints like the Eureka Skydeck, which has a $26.50 entry fee, and Lui Bar, where guests must spend a minimum of $50 each on food or drinks, the Sofitel can be visited free of charge.
