A pledge to beef up Australia’s struggling manufacturing sector

(CU)_For several years now, the Labour Party of Australia has been promoting its “buy Australian” pledge in their election campaigns, all of which were proven to be unsuccessful. Keeping up with the Party’s 2016 election campaign focused on “buy Australian, build Australian, employ Australians”, former Labour Party Leader Bill Shorten made the same promise in his election campaign in 2019.
