There is no word on the price yet, but given that Disney’s existing lightsabers already cost $200 each, the new sabres are not expected to be cheap. The company said the ‘real’ lightsabers will be a part of its upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser immersive hotel, which will be taking the original premise of Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge park and expand it to an interactive two-night Star Wars adventure.

The company also revealed that the new sabers are still a work in progress by Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development. They are expected to be ready for guests to buy when the Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience launches next year.
