Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ On his 48th birthday, Abhishek Bachchan, renowned for his roles in films like Ghoomer, received a touching birthday wish from his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya, known for her role in Ponniyin Selvan, delighted fans with two pictures: the first capturing herself, birthday celebrant Abhishek Bachchan, and their daughter Aaradhya, all dressed in shades of red, and the second, a snapshot from her husband’s childhood. Sharing the pictures, Aishwarya penned, “Here’s wishing you Happy Birthday with much happiness, love, calm, peace, and good health. God Bless. Shine on.”

On his special day, Abhishek Bachchan also received loving birthday greetings from his family, sister Shweta Bachchan, and niece Navya Naveli Nanda. Shweta shared a supercute childhood picture of herself with Abhishek, where the siblings were seen enjoying lollipops while seated on a couch. Accompanying the picture was the hit track “Mere Paas Aao Mere Dosto” from their father, superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s 1979 film Mr. Natwarlal. Alongside the photo, Shweta wrote, “It’s not – if you know you know; it’s only you know and I know…it’s your Big Day Little brother – hope you enjoy the song…love you,” hinting at an inside joke. In response, Abhishek expressed his love with a hugging emoticon. He simply wrote, “Love you.”
Additionally, Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta Bachchan’s daughter, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, and actress Sonali Bendre showered the post with red heart emoticons. Abhishek reciprocated the love by leaving a note of appreciation for his elder sister. Navya Naveli Nanda also took to Instagram Stories to extend her birthday wishes to her uncle. Sharing a throwback photo featuring herself, her brother Agastya Nanda, and Abhishek, Navya wrote, “Happy birthday to everyone’s favorite, but especially mine (red heart emoticon) Abhishek Bachchan.”
Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2007 and are parents to daughter Aaradhya, who was born in 2011. In terms of work, Aishwarya’s latest appearance was in Ponniyin Selvan: II, an epic drama directed by Manirathnam. On the other hand, in his recent appearance, Abhishek Bachchan starred in the sports drama Ghoomer, sharing the screen with Saiyami Kher. The film, helmed by R. Balakrishnan, featured Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role of Padam Singh Sodhi and garnered him great reviews.
